Shadow faces careen 

Night air sweating

Ochre leaf pustules break

Against a polluted sky

 

Glinting orbs scanning

Asphalt vibrations of

Claw and hoof to scrape 

Up some primordial dust 

 

Cacophonous chattering

The vulture choir chirps

Slipping tongue quips

Risking folded flesh to reform spirit 

 

Vomit decorates the earth

A torrid tonic to conjure 

Mealy sinews breaking soil

In haste; a harrowing howl

 

To walk once more

Amongst the whores

And their angels alike 

Cracking wicked smiles
